Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)

Echocardiography is the use of ultrasound waves to produce an image of the heart’s structure and function. With a transesophageal echocardiogram, a long, slender, flexible tube is inserted into the mouth, through the esophagus and into the stomach.
