Dobutamine Nuclear Stress Test

A stress test given to patients who are unable to walk on a treadmill. This test involves taking pictures or images of your heart after injection of a radioactive substance, known as a tracer. Areas of the heart receiving adequate blood flow will pick up the tracer more completely. This test can determine the cause of chest pain, which can occur with blockages in blood flow to the heart.
