Coulis Cardiology Physician Achieves Recertification in Echocardiography

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – November 3, 2016 – Coulis Cardiology is proud to announce the recertification of one of its physicians, Robert M. Horth, MD, FACC, FASNC, in echocardiography. In July, Dr. Horth of Kohler, Wis., passed the recertification examination by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL).

Echocardiography is a complex imaging technique that relies on the expertise and training of both the physician and sonographer. Their interpretive and technical abilities determine the diagnostic accuracy of an echocardiographic examination. The ICAEL’s accreditation program evaluates the quality of these and other critical elements of an echocardiography laboratory.

Patients can rely on this ICAEL accreditation as a seal of approval that Coulis Cardiology and Dr. Horth have been carefully critiqued on all aspects of its operations relating to echocardiography. The accreditation is widely respected in the medical community and supported by multiple national societies of physicians, echocardiographic technologists and medical physicists.

Dr. Horth joined Coulis Cardiology’s team of leading specialists in spring 2010. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Miami, as well as a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Horth is also board certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography and internal medicine.
